Business Spotlight: Jeffrey Cook Videography

Telling People’s Stories – Jeff Cook, Story Teller

Most of you that know me also know that I’m a bit of a tech geek. From photography, videography, websites, podcast, Photoshop, you name it, I’ve got my hands into it at some level and I’m not afraid to learn new forms of technology or software applications. When you start to develop these types of skill sets, it hone’s your senses in and makes you aware of others that share in your same passions. Jeff Cook is one of those people that stood out and caught my attention.

I first met Jeff through our Men’s Ministries functions at Northpointe Community Church in Northwest Fresno. At the time, I was in charge of coordinating our Men’s Ministry booth each week. Jeff was one of the brave souls that volunteered to work the table. Thank God for men like Jeff that actually volunteer for things at church. He’s a rare breed for that fact alone.

Over time, I have watched Jeff’s business grow and deeply admired his talent, and his work.

He is gifted at telling people’s stories through videography. Story telling is another passion that Jeff and I share and we recently had the distinct privilege of working with Jeff first hand as he told our story through a corporate recruiting video that we just wrapped up.

Jeff is the consummate professional and this really came out in not only his work ethic but also his work flow. He was able to effortlessly conceptualize my ideas and offer up suggestions for ways to make it better and resonate with people at a deeper level. It was fun for Linda and I to see our vision for this become a reality.

Here’s a bit of background on Jeff:

jeffrey-cook-videographyAfter graduating from San Francisco State University with a degree in Radio and Television I began searching for production jobs. Long story short, production jobs were hard to find without experience and so I began calling news stations in Fresno. My first television job was with channel 26 as a news photographer. After a year or so with Fox, I started working for channel KSEE 24. While working for KSEE, I was awarded the Edward R. Murrow award in 2006. I finished my news career with ABC 30.

News was fast paced and that is what I liked about it, however, I wanted to do more. My idea of storytelling goes deeper than what the news could offer me. You only had a minute to tell a story and I always thought storytelling should be flexible. In 2013, I started Jeffrey Cook Videography. My projects consisted of only weddings but soon developed into helping nonprofits in Fresno. Now, in 2017, I am focused in helping small businesses tell their story with the help of video.

We live in an era where our smartphones are the new television device. Smartphones go everywhere we go, and that means people can deliver their messages quicker and easier than ever before.

Smartphones go everywhere we go, and that means people can deliver their messages quicker and easier than ever before

Long gone are the days of television commercials, we can now share our ideas and brands directly to customers on their smartphones. Not only is it faster now with smartphones, you can now reach so many more people if you place your message on YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, Facebook or even your own website.

My passion is to help small businesses and nonprofits succeed. I feel it is important to set up meetings on the phone or face to face to develop strategies that can help my clients. Without a vision, your message can be lost and be weak. This is why I work hard to understand my clients’ needs. My goal is to listen to their vision and to create a video that best represents their ideas.

I have been behind the camera for over sixteen years now, and I still get a creative rush. After capturing clients’ footage, I can’t wait to put it together for them. I am known to work fast and deliver high quality professional videos with a short turn-around…

If you have a story to tell, Linda and I can’t recommend Jeffrey Cook Videography highly enough. Jeff will work patiently with you and make your vision a reality that you can share with the world. We could not have been more blessed than to have worked with someone of Jeff’s caliber. We will definitely be working with him in the future.
